Why we love it…
This treeless saddle is designed by one of the most famous breeding evaluation riders in the world Þórður Þórgeirsson. The Þórður Pad enables subtle and precise communication from the riders seat directly into the horse’s back. It is designed in a way that effectively cushions the horse’s back with shock absorbing latex panels, while still allowing the close contact feel that makes treeless saddles a popular choice among experienced riders.
Here at Taktur this is our go to choice of saddle when we are riding at a higher level on our trained horses. With the Þórður Pad you can use your seat to have a very direct impact on the horse’s movement through their back.
The pad is designed in a way that the rider is supported by soft kneepads and a seat that gently hugs around the rider. Additionally this saddle is with high quality calf leather and has 3mm of latex on the saddle flaps for extra comfort.
Since this is a treeless saddle there are no gullet options. The saddle flexes to adjust each horse. In our experience we have had no issues with fit.
As is standard with the Eques saddle you can order the ÞÞ Pad in a variety of lengths so you can pick the specific size that works best for your seat.
