Workshop: Gait Training (Sign Up & Deposit)
April 2-6
This five gait workshop will cover the training of the five gaits of the Icelandic horse! Each day of the workshop will focus on one of the gaits including both practical and theoretical learning. One of the unique aspects of the Icelandic horse is the fact that we train and ride five gaits and this workshop gives you the opportunity for intensive learning about each!
This workshop is open to all levels of riders and horses as the gait training each day will be tailored to each individual horse-rider combo experience level. Participants may use their own horses or lease a Taktur horse.
As with each of our workshops, you can expect to receive quality hands-on, individualized instruction in addition to insightful lectures and applicable demonstrations. We will not admit more than 6 riders to this workshop so sign up promptly to hold your spot!
One of our favorite pieces of these workshops is the camaraderie built among the attendees. There is nothing like being surrounded by people equally as excited to expand their education and enjoy the Icelandic Horse together. We will be including a group dinner Saturday night that we hope you'll be able to attend!
You'll find all the important details and outlined schedule below. Keep in mind that the schedule may be subject to change as our goal with the workshops is to tailor each day to the participants interests and needs both as individuals and as a group!
