Let's Talk Tölt Clinic (Sign Up & Deposit)

$250.00

August 21-22, 2026

Ready to take your tölt to the next level? Join Mackenzie Durbin, our resident instructor and local trainer, in this two-day Let’s Talk Tölt Clinic designed for riders who want a deeper understanding of how to develop, improve, and refine tölt— Bring your own horse or use one of ours!

Over the course of the weekend, participants will take part in four focused riding lessons that address balance, beat and the rider’s influence. Each session is tailored to help you better understand how to produce a clear-beated and balanced tölt- no matter your horse’s gait profile. Off the horse, Mackenzie will guide you through lectures on the basic mechanics of tölt, the spectrum of beat faults and an introduction to tölt scores in sport competition.

A highlight of the clinic is two in-depth riding demonstrations, comparing the process of improving two common beat faults in the tölt- “trottiness” and “paceyness”. These demos clearly illustrate the differences in approach, timing, and expectations, giving riders valuable insight they can take home.

Whether you are struggling to train tölt in your own horse or looking to better understand the mechanics for your own education, this clinic offers practical tools, expert guidance, and a clear roadmap to healthy movement in tölt.
